Lynn Tomaszewski's award-winning work has been shown in solo and group shows throughout the United States and Europe. Her paintings, installations, and video work explore how technology alters perception. Lynn's work is in the public collections of the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota and the Center for Contemporary Art in Sacramento, California.

Tomaszewski's most recent body of work conflates mundane and sublime as it explores the highs and lows of being human. The need to understand and the futility of this need is the focus of the black & white drawings. They are drawings of the perceptual distance between the actual event (supernovas and swarms) and the viewer. It is a distance first eradicated by technology and then re-created by it. Recent paintings and installations look at everyday life with both longing and disdain - day-to-day leisure activities play out under a suggestion of ominous consequences. Parallels to swarms suggest both the potential and perils of group dynamics. The result is a new lens, not portraiture but visual field theory.
